We had our first STREAM activity today!  To say that we were excited was really an understatement. :)  Our class read a story about a young girl who cared for an orphaned rhino in Kenya.  We discussed the different needs of the rhino, and how this young girl was able to care for the rhino's needs.  We also learned about the habitat of the rhino.

For STREAM today, we collected things from our school habitat.  Students discovered acorns, leaves, sticks, rocks, grass and other plant material.  They were invited to create "found art" from the nature items.  This means that the art was arranged and left in an area for others to find.  Students were able to partner up or work individually to achieve their found art display.
